Moving On from the Movement of Spiritual Awareness

One of the messages in the Movement of Spiritual Inner Awareness is, “We are in our ‘laters’ now.” It is time to get on with our life, however that is to become. In the Spirit, what it is to become is the very best. Consider that our life and nature is ongoing. Therefore, we are in our “laters” now, because the “laters” are ongoing.
One of the signs is that we have more joy. There is a place in the scripture that says, “Man is to have joy and to have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10) We are all in favor of that. We can also be in fulfillment such that we are in joy right into this moment. Each of us can call ourself forward into the joy.
That is a way I relate to the energy of MSIA – pure joy, more and more each day. We can move that into each moment. We have a Spirit that works with us regardless. No matter what we are, what we become, what we do or don’t do, God loves us anyway. It goes on and on. Even as much as the love is present, it is going to continue.
Consider the power of God. That is a name for the creator for all of us. We have a creator and it is to increase the love. Are you in favor of that? However you respond to that question is the choice you are making. If you say, “Yes,” then you are choosing more love. Maybe you said, “No, I don’t want more love because I just end up getting hurt, disappointed and ripped off.”
I’ve heard the interpretation of love as, “It’s just trouble.” Sometimes the conclusion is love is not real. There is no such thing as love. I beg to differ. We have a vote for what love is. Exercise that vote. You are a creator in how you vote. That’s one of the teachings from John-Roger, the founder of the Movement of Spiritual Inner Awareness.
This Movement functions in freedom, as does the spirit of who we are. That spirit is free to come and go with the body. That is one of the ways we call out this movement, that we go with the Spirit from the body into soul awareness. That becomes spiritual awareness.
The soul individualizes, but it also moves into the spirit. It would be conscious in how the spirit is conscious. This is transcendent of the soul. The soul surrenders its individuality to become one in the spirit that is in everyone and everything. This is transcendental awareness, beyond the body.
There are dimensions of this we could call levels. One level is the astral. I relate to the astral level as what we can imagine or “image in.” Then we have emotions, referenced as the causal level. Mental is mental. The next one, the etheric, is kind of mysterious, because it is unconscious. It has been referenced as “the void” or what I would call emptiness. You may say, “I don’t feel anything. I don’t have thoughts, images or sensations that something is present in the emptiness.”
This is still not spiritual awareness. In the Movement of Spiritual Inner Awareness, we consider we are found. John-Roger said, “Not one soul is lost.” What comes through Spirit into this world is the soul consciousness conducting itself down into each level. It has to change form. It is a transformation all along the way in iterations – form upon form upon form.
There is a phrase attributed to Jesus. “In my house there are many mansions.” (John 14:2) There are worlds without end, meaning they are still in creation. They are still being created in some way. That is something we could relate to, like stars.
Let’s consider Abraham in this Movement. Judaic, Christian and Islamic heritages all consider that Abraham is involved. I don’t know how many people are from Judaic, Christian and Islamic traditions, but it’s a lot. Whatever the iteration is in the individual aspect, it meets up in the Spirit.
This is the movement we are in. We focus on spiritual awareness. There is a line in this. There has always been somebody on the planet doing the movement of spiritual inner awareness. It is not about an organization of a personage.
Another attribution to Jesus is, “Greater is he within you than he who is in the world.” (John 4:4) That is how we do this – from within. Do we need an organization? From my point of view, no. But could an organization help you? Could somebody help you?
What if you had somebody who could show you what you are looking for? Something in truth – not fake or fraudulent. Somebody showing you what you are looking for and seeking. There could be something like a guide, saying, “Come on, I’ll show you.” That’s how I relate to it.
It is far more than information. Good luck if you are just seeking information, because I don’t know that it can come from the information. We need to have the experience. Experience is a way to the conscious knowing. I often find that is eliminating what I don’t need to be aware of. It’s like removing a fog or what is unclear.
Sometimes the obstruction, restriction or transgression is, “I moved off my path. I somehow got distracted and I lost my way.” That can be something that leads to who we are, often by the choice to let it go. We can realize, “This is unnecessary experience. It’s not working.”
We can feel like we lost our way. It can be, “I didn’t mean to. I wasn’t trying to lose my way.” Perhaps you did something like anticipation which became expectation. You didn’t follow by watching. You put in something imported from expectations or opinions. This is quite common.
There is a practical way in the world. If you are thirsty, what does that tell you? “I want some water.” Does everybody know thirst? We have that in common. If we are thirsty, going towards dehydration, that can be a form of losing our way.
One of the things we teach is practical spirituality. John-Roger put it like this, “Take care of yourself.” That means everybody. We all have a responsibility to take care of ourself, to have enough water and oxygen so the physical level can be a springboard to higher levels. We want to progress, to go forward in who we are. If we are dysfunctional at the physical level, it makes it more difficult to be in harmony with the spirit.
We do this from the inside out. It’s inside of you. It is within. Seek it there. One of the practices we do is spiritual exercise. I look at it as how we worship. We worship within to the highest God. That is who we pray to.
How do you know you are praying to the highest God? If it is in my heart, I am heard all the way to the highest God, because God is in my heart.

Blessing of Praise and Joy
From John’s book Blessings Here and Now
Lord God, we ask for Your blessing on each one of us here.
We give thanks that you have chosen us.
You make Your truth known to us like water pouring forth from deep within.
You are a wellspring of knowledge, strength and inspiration.
You are the force of love and caring and joy.
In our own way, we accept Your hand upon us, right now, touching to us.
You make us straight and clear.
You heal us from those things that we have made issues and conflicts.
You heal us from that which is our darkness, our dis-ease.
We stand up free with clear rejoicing, praising You,
Our beloved Lord whom we serve.
