The Big Hand

Discouragement is about things we have been through that would be disappointing. “I don’t like this. This is not what I wanted. That’s discouraging.” I think that describes it. Sometimes you might even do it again or make it worse. That is even more discouraging.
Somewhere in there is “courage”, so if you take out the “dis”, then what would that be? When you are discouraged, you take your courage off where it belongs and what would help you do what would be in your best interests. It’s like you disrespect yourself. There is something about it in this world that’s mysterious. That is part of what happens.
We may say, “Since I don’t know how it’s going to work, should I hang back and wait?” That may become a default. There’s another word- fault. Do you want more fault? No. Waiting and holding back can become something “off” and then that’s discouraging.
You may say, “I was trying to learn what I needed to know.” But at some point, you just get in. That means you have the experience. If you’re not really attentive enough with your awareness, you may need the experience again. Notice I said, “need.” You have the experience one more time because you need it.
You are on a spiritual adventure and the Holy Spirit is going to show you the truth. For a while that may be like riding a bucking bronco. It may buck the hell out of your life. What does that mean? It’s like you keep getting thrown off every time you try to ride and live the truth. If you learn how to stay on, you could get really good at riding it. Then, that horse might be an amazing vehicle for going where you want to go.
These are the kinds of experiences you can claim you need at some level. In every experience we can realize, “I’m doing things to myself that make it kind of disappointing.” Clear out expectations you have about your life. There is room for inspiration. You can still have dreams and visions, just make sure those are tied to your spiritual heart.
There is an emotional heart. People say, “My feelings were hurt.” Those are your emotions. Your spiritual heart does not ever get hurt. If you say, “My spiritual heart is broken,” it’s not. Your emotional heart? Alright, and whatever you made up in your romantic fantasy may have disturbance there.
You have become stronger, and you are getting stronger. The reason is you are more capable. Capability can also be taken into the negative. If someone is very powerful in negative ways, they are wasting their power. Get on to that power and do beautiful things that help others but help you as much or more. It works like that. There’s nothing broken when you’re helped, and you help others. It’s a beautiful life.
You are in a clearing process. The Traveler’s number one job is going to be releasing what needs to be released in negative forms. It’s regret or things we do habitually. We might call it, “My dumb self is doing more dumb stuff.” Bodies come with a dumb self, like it’s issued at the factory. So, it’s like, “Wake up! Smarten up! Watch what you are doing!”
Consider your motivating purpose. Maybe you say, “I want a better life, but I don’t know how this is going to work. I don’t know if I should take this job or move to this city.” Life is like that at times. If you are going after what you want more of, it doesn’t always match up with what you know or are familiar with.
There is a part of you that does know. We are all connected into directly what is. It is an alive, living consciousness. Your God consciousness. You may say, “I’ve heard of that, but I don’t really know. I am still guessing. I have a powerful emotion, and I think that’s it. Then it turns out not.” Take a look at that. What did you learn? Take that in so you become more capable and stronger.
Another quality that comes with clearing is more clarity. My experience of clarity is a knowing that comes in that is also confident. There is a confidence that has calm.
When we don’t know, it’s like, “What if this happens? I’m not sure.” When you know, it calms. It is solid. If something outside of you says, “I don’t think you’re so smart. I think that’s stupid,” that is a God of opinion. Know that is around. Some of that is inside if you have been programmed and conditioned to doubt and be afraid of life.
Sometimes we grow up in that kind of environment. That’s okay, because you are coming to something that is going to release your clarity. You see more and more so you understand. Once you understand, you won’t do what you did anymore. You may not even remember or relate to that self anymore.
You have confidence. How did you get confident? You started trusting yourself. How did you start trusting? You started being true to yourself. Those two go together. Being truthful can take all your strength, courage and wisdom. It leads to a greater knowing of who you are. It is so clear that you are not in things like, “I don’t know. I’m afraid. I’m insecure, hesitant and pulled back.” You are in so much less of that.
You can realize more and more that the truth is within you. This is a world where you check it out, and that can be awkward. This world is an adventure that is not going to go away. If you think you can control your life in this world, that is not going to work. Make some room that you will have adventures and then learn how to handle them well. If you make mistakes, you can learn and not repeat them.
Life can be kind of peculiar at times. I call it “The Big Hand.” What would God do to your life so that what you need to experience will come to you? That is going to happen. The Traveler consciousness is on that. Let’s do the experiences that deliver the greatest learning and the most becoming of who we are. And let’s do it in this lifetime, where we are.

Blessing of Courage to Walk with the Lord
Lord God, we come before You,
blessed in Your presence and the joy of who You are
and who we are together in fellowship.
We ask that You touch each one of us now personally.
Bless every part of us.
Let us experience Your touch and the loving of who You are
in the depth of our being into every cell.
Lord, we give You permission and we invite You
into all aspects of our life,
knowing that where You go,
you bring the Holy Presence that is the sanctity and the purity.
We let go, and we release all that is past now.
We come forth with You to do what You do,
follow in Your way,
and walk with You stride for stride.
Give us Your courage, the depth of Your knowing,
that we may too, have the courage in the face of all that meets us,
knowing that Your will is done, as God's will is done.
May we align with Your will, Lord, to do the blessings of the Christ.
We are grateful that You bequest us with a comforter
that is the Holy Spirit.
Now we come to the oneness of that companion.
The Holy Spirit is what we breathe and what we do in all of our ways.
Extend this blessing, dear Lord,
to all those who are open across the planet.
May all bear the Light and sanctify the place
where they may find themselves.
We give the prayers of the heart up to You, Lord,
knowing that You know no burden.
All is welcomed. All is forgiven.
In Your grace we ask that this extend
to those who are in ignorance and in darkness,
those who have forgotten themselves
in their fears, judgments and the pains of their existence.
May we comfort them in the Spirit and soothe them in their troubles.
May we be part of that blessing that comes forth through Spirit
from the invisible into the visible -- in the worlds beyond that is God,
this world and all the universes.
We do this by our faith and trust in You.
We know we are upon a time where we are not to tarry,
to look back, to cast our vision on what is forsaken.
We are in a time to go forth serving all,
loving all until that day
when we know ourselves in Your face.
